Interruption and the car show.
« on: June 26, 2019, 08:08:51 am »
So many near by car shows this past week end to chose to attend. One was huge with close to 600 cars attending for 2 days, they never did post a final count, we wouldn't attend as we didn't want to be there for 2 days

We chose the Clio Michigan Fire fighters car show, had to be moved  because of all the rain so there green grass show area was flooded.

The interrution happened about 10:30 AM.

https://www.abc12.com/content/news/...-facility-in-Thetford-Township-511673591.html. the crew had to go to this fire about 5 guys from another shift who volunteered to help with the car show carried on in fine fashion.

Another Buick a 1960's LeSaber station wagon.

May have had a Air flow problem.

A very rare Chevy Chevell rug rat hauler.

A Ford PU street rod.

A rare 1927 Star.

Enjoyed my chat with the owner of this Chevy PU. told me a rich Illinois farmer bought it new. Then sold to another farmer not so rich. Went to some kin in north west Michigan when he passed. He bought it there off a ad in car trader 5 years ago.

Al, I really like that two tone grey on the Buick.  Didn't 83-84 Buick GN have that as an option?  I like to see the recent resurgence of flat heads in hotrods.  Flat heads sound a lot better than OHV engines, to my ears anyway.  Enjoyed your pictures, thanks for posting.   :occasion14:

Orginal factor colar but is a repaint with more coats of clear coat than orginal.

Far as I know the Buick GN only came in black. If you wanted any other color you bought a Regal T type.

Al, the black Buicks we think of as 'Grand Nationals' were made from 84-87.  The 86 & 87s had the LC2 turbocharged V-6.  A bit of research revealed it was the 82 & 83 GNs with the two tone paint (an 82 is pictured below-it was black & grey).  Yes, the 86 & 87 T-Type was available in almost all Buick Regal colors.  I do like the two tone paint, and considered painting my 86 T-Type with that two tone scheme.  I bought a 1989 Indianapolis 500 turbo Trans Am with the LC-2 engine instead.  :)
