I use a product called Honey Bandit, from Mann Lake.  Works pretty good for me with a fume board and 12 spritz of the stuff.

bee gone is the nasty one. will gag a maggot. i used bee quick which has tripled in price since i last bought it. smells like almonds. with an average of 30 hives a gallon lasted 4 years. haven't used bee bandit but a friend says it works & it's not stinky.
