Another swarm
« on: March 16, 2014, 06:33:09 pm »
Caught another one today. It was a pretty big swarm, almost filled a 10 frame deep. They were on a oak limb. I tried to knock them out, but they kept going back to the limb. So I took the pole saw to the limb. That'll teach ' em.

The bees on the limb was about half of the total. The other half was already in the box.
The must have been hanging out a few days, they'd already started drawing comb on the limb.

rc, with any photo program installed on your pc. also, win7 has an option in the r click menu, to rotate a photo. when you click on the photograph, r click for the menu, you will see 'rotate clockwise' and also 'rotate counterclockwise'.

Yeah, I can do it on a PC, but I use an ipad at home. I haven't figured out how to rotate the pictures with it yet.

hmmmm rc, got me hanging on that one, don't own an ipad, but i did find this:

"1. Select the image.
 2. Tap Edit
 3. Tap the Rotate icon to change the orientation so that up is up in the picture.
 4. Tap Save"

Crop, straighten, or rotate a photo

Thanks, Riverbee. I can modify pictures on the ipad, but when I upload them they almost always post rotated 90 degrees. I think it may be that I'm taking the pictures in the  portrait orientation and posting in landscape. Does that make any sense?

it makes sense, i don't think it makes a difference in the portrait/landscape orientation, i think it is contained in the exif data of the photo.....if that makes sense.... :D
i don't own an ipad, maybe post a thread and see if other members can offer some suggestions on this?

I pads have a gravity screen orientation and so the picture will auto rotate for proper orientation. It is when the photo is sent to a fixed orientation device that the pict is sent in the orientation the device was in when the photo was taken. When you first turn on the device it will display its true orientation then the screen will rotate to gravity.
