If you knock over a large container of syrup on your kitchen floor, say around 2 gallons and you want to make sure you got it all cleaned up, wear a pair of socks across the area in question. If you still have your socks on when you reach the other side, you're good. If not, keep cleaning. I, of course, wouldn't have any experience in such a thing.
