wow...
Perusing other forums.. I find myself annoyed, I grab the keyboard to reply, and force myself to just close the link without replying...   probably better that way, but I admit, it is HARD not to call out some of the posters for their negative attitudes and pessimistic replies.
So... I just wanted to post and say.. THANKS for a good forum with good members!

I couldn't agree more Scott.
Every forum has something to offer, what we as members have to decide, is what best fits our needs and philosophies.
Is there a bigger beekeeping forum? Absolutely. If you are commercially inclined, this may have more to offer you, but with that goes the inherant conflicts resulting from different styles, practices, etc. It can quickly get ugly.
I believe many of us have "come from somewhere" (folks new to beekeeping perhaps being the exception). Differences of philosophies and personalities have lead many of us to here. This "place" (disregarding the "name" for the moment) has always felt like more of a home for me than any others. It is where I come to talk with like minded folks, learn, and even more importantly, to have some fun. Isn't that what a home is supposed to be all about?

It's nice here that everyone has a positive outlook.
Even negative things are said in a positive way.
Makes you feel good about the friends you keep and they serve as a positive testimony about YOU ALL.
I've seen (and run away from) forums where the posters felt that they had to use foul language to express themselves and scatter insults to anyone who didn't agree with them.
It's nice here that everyone has a positivie outlook!

This is one of two forums I read (the other one is weather related).  It doesn't get any better than this forum.  Thank you good people and great moderators!   :goodjob:

thanks scott, one forum for me, right here, that's it.  perry and ef have really said how i think.

btw, IF i want to annoy myself, i can find too many ways in daily life to do so, without reading negativity and/or getting ragged out on the internet...... ;D
and besides, jack would miss me picking on him if i left and went somewhere else..... :D

Thanks, folks, but the credit goes to the mods and members. I spent over 10 years on different forums, then decided to start one. I contacted the ones I had "met" that I thought would fit my ideas best. Chose a few of the more active ""angels" to look over it,and invited the best of the folks to come over. I think it has worked great, and again give thanks every day for what ""WE""have created.

I thank Riverrat for the idea and assistance in setting up and pulling in the initial members, and still consider him as a partner and founder.

G3, Riverbee, and Perry for working, "I think" 24 hours daily to promote and care for it.

Admin, "not sure he wants his name known", for doing all the IT work behind the scenes, keeping it flowing and safe from hackers and spammers.

About the only credit I can take is for registering the name and opening the site.

THANK YOU ALL, FROM FIRST TO LAST SIGNUP, AND ALL IN BETWEEN.
