Sprecher Sodas And Wisconsin Honey
« on: June 16, 2014, 11:37:37 am »
Little Blueblood and I found soda at Menards that interested me in two ways, no high fructose corn syrup and being made with Wisconsin Honey! I try to avoid high fructose corn syrup, msg and excessive preservatives if at all possible.  It was nice to find a soda, especially root beer, that was void of those things.  Just thought you guys/gals would be interested.  It's on sale right now at $2.00 for a four pack and $15 for a case.  We tried the grape and root beer.  Very nice.  And, whoot whoot for the Wisconsin keeps!

Hey, Dave, that gave me an idea! We have a soda stream, so I charged up some water then added some syrup made from honey and a little hot water to a glass of the water and ice. It tasted right good! It's basically a carbonated honey drink. And the price is right! Of course, after the cost of the soda stream, that is.

I have drank a tablespoon of honey in a cup of hot water for years. It is as good as any herbal tea.

Dl, I like me some cream soda...especially paired with White Castles! I will pick up some the next time I am in Menards.  Getting more Root Beer too.  It is good with pizza.  Don't get the wrong idea about me though, , I'm not a pop-o-hollic...I do eat/drink healthy most of the time.  But, if I'm gonna splurge, it's gonna be with Sprecher!

I love root beer. Sadly, I've never seen that brand down here. But thanks Dave for the info. Gotta love (and support) companies like that.

Use my soda stream every day, never thought to just add honey. Will try that tomorrow.

How do you refill your CO2 ?

I made an adapter and have 20lb CO bottles for my beer making.
