Well now, is this what I think it is?
« on: September 26, 2014, 06:57:42 pm »
Went out to my flower patch this afternoon just to see if there was anything of interest. Spotted some movement and saw several of these... Just need a little confirmation that this is a honey bee. If not, oh well.

Nope, look at it's legs. It's a pollen bee.

Ya know Iddee, I was kinda wondering about that myself.  Should be a blessing to all the hay fever sufferers so maybe I'll keep a couple of hives of these just because I'm such a prince of a guy. 8)  The more pollen bees, the less sneezing. :D

Hey there Mr. Wizard! You're on one today  ;)

But, to be honest, I haven't seen any of my bees with the fur on the abdomen like this one. Has she got her winter fur coat on?

You don't even want to know what my first response was, Jen.  Let's just say they're using the wax for more important things back at the hive.
