Jen:

You have fully exposed me for the doofus that I am.  I can see now that the picture is a mom and daughter.  I have a 25 year old male friend that looks as young as the daughter.  He works for the Texas Highway Patrol as an under cover drug agent.  He poses as a high school student, and has been successful at this for three or four years.  I thought the daughter was bee boy.  I feel so dumb.  I should never post again, and maybe disappear to the ranch.

I think, Lazy, you and I both may have to quit posting. I didn't realize it was a girl.

You guys are crazy! She has a beenie like thing on her head. She has very long hair that has never been cut even though she's 17 years old. She is so much fun to be around, & has the quickest whit I've ever seen! I love her so much! Her mother...well, she is a jewel! I didn't really realize that a feller could love this much, but it happens. When I get to be a grandpa...I won't be worth shooting! (not that I am now, but you get the point)

I also have a son who is going to school to be an engineer. He is 19, talented & sharp as a tack! We often sit & have some really deep political, & theological discussions. He is also going to bible school, so he learns the old man a thing or two as well.

The pic is taken right a year ago while we were on Talimena drive in southern Oklahoma. It's just curvy roads, & pretty tall mountains, (for Oklahoma) & is absolutely beautiful when the colors on trees start changing in the fall. We will be taking that trip again here in a week or two. Google Talimena drive & you'll see it is one the top fall drives in the nation.

I'm not real sure why I felt compelled to give a run down on my family, but there it is.

We have a daughter and son as well Bee. They're such good people and we can talk about virtually anything. Daughter is 37 and son is 32. Daughter has also added two grandchildren to our family.

Because yours and my kids are close in generations, we are accustomed to todays fashions and beanies. I can see where there might be a bit of confusion. But again, I what struck me in the picture is wife and daughters lovely comfortable smiles.

Also, his handle is beeBOY, not beeman, so I thought the beekeeper might be a boy.  We had a 17 year old girl address our bee club about organic beekeeping.  She was talented, well spoken and educated, so why couldn't the picture be of beeBOY and his mom.  There is a bee club in East Texas, near Longview, that supports young beekeepers, and they reach out to high school students.  They have several teenage beekeepers.

Beeboy and I are on the same page about family.  I have two sons aged 34 and 54 years.  Yes, they are over 20 years apart and have the same mom.  My wife and I have been married 55 years.  I am an engineer and my oldest son in an engineer, my youngest son is an entomologist.  My boys and I talk about everything, we have no secrets.  My wife and I have done well financially, but that is not my real accomplishment.  My gift from God is that I have two sons that will look you in the eye, shake your hand, and you can take their word to the bank.  Every thing else in my life pales in comparison.

I do wish all of you a nice day,

Lazy

That ranch is a marvelous hideout Lazy.  I'll never forget driving through the gate, stopping, and hearing, "We own as far as the eye can see"...... ;)     You are a rich man in many ways Lazy.   :)
