@judelt:

I harvested six medium frames yesterday.  I just did the old crush and strain.  I have a Maxant 3100P, but I also have a lot of comb in the freezer, so I just did the quick and easy thing with crush and strain.  I'm glad you're getting a late harvest.  It's late in the year, and most of the harvesting is in the past.  There doesn't appear to be any nectar in my area, but the bees found enough to make six frames of extra honey.

This is summer honey. I left it on till last minute. I have had it in freezer till yesterday. It was thawed and running into a pan last nite. we will get started here soon. usually we extract in hubby's shop, but will try the sunroom today for convience(sp?).  will get pictures as we go! The 2 years I have had bees I have gotten at least one super May and again by July. I love it. I give a lot for Christmas gifts, but I eat a lot , too! I am down to 21/2 jars, so it's time!
