Happy Holidays From Scott & Ted!
« on: November 25, 2014, 09:18:10 pm »

My buddy Ted came down today to tinker with some hive components. Built some bottom boards, inner covers and tele covers, a few frames, and of course, we had to say Happy Holidays to yall!

Two things:
Just how much paint did Ted get on his shirt cuff the way he was draggin it through everything he painted?
Does he know about the "edit job" you did?

Not as much paint as you might think.. and NO, he hasnt seen it yet!  I am sure I'll hear about it when he does!
I keep trying to help him and Josh out, but he keeps buying things, boards, plywood, nails for the nail gun, glue.. and the latest??  A Hive tool with Lazy Bkpr Engraved on it!!!  So I am on a mission to figure out some way to help him he CANT repay!  Might take me a bit but I will figure something out!

In the past the job of painting was never over for me until I had a gob of paint in my hair!  That hasn't happened yet, but I still have more paint to put on so we'll see!  Good eye Perry!  I didn't even notice the cuff until I got home and walked to the bee hive without my coat on.  I thought to myself, "what's so stiff and scratchy?".  Scott mentioned "making bottom boards, outer, and inner covers?  What he failed to mention was that HE made those items (for me) while I stood around saying uh huh, uh huh, uh huh while Scott did all the work.  I'm not as handy as I once had been, all those long, long, long years ago!  I finally started scraping frames trying to be useful.

I sure enjoy Scotts company and look forward to the days I can be there.  Oddly, my wife enjoys the days that I spent with Scott also.  I wonder if...naw!  Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Lazy, Good job on the video!  I'm so glad you didn't make me look SILLY! Uh huh, uh huh.  Ted

Always have a good time when you come down Ted. Plus, it prolongs the few projects I have prepared for the winter..   As it looks outside right now, its probably a GOOD thing you decided last night not to come down today.. snowing like crazy, already plowed once..  I did make it to town and get the stuff I needed, so in addition to gas heat in the wood shop, we will soon have WOOD heat too... No wood shop is complete without some place to burn the scraps..  If enough beer is consumed, it is entirely possible the GOOD wood gets burned as well!
Got to have a cozy spot to enjoy those COLD winter days!
Bought a staple gun today too, so we can see which we like better when building boxes frames etc...

That's why i can't move around in my shop now (there's no such thing as scrap wood or bad wood. :D) Be careful with the staple gun, they can sober you up quick :o. That's what a friend of mine said ;D. Jack

Had a great thanksgiving, but I did manage to eat too much and was miserable for about three hours.. then I ate some more and was miserable for another hour or two..    ;D

I got the wood stove set up to heat the wood SHOP..  so my winter hideaway has become even more comfortable. Less money on heat and more on wood and beekeeping equipment!  Maybe a few beers, so the next time Ted shows up with his designated driver we can enjoy watching said designated driver work!
