New outyard for 2015
« on: December 14, 2014, 12:34:59 pm »
A new outyard 37 acres all woods, brush, rocky cliffs, and meadows, all around and a rocks throw to Pomme De Terre Lake.I introduced myself to several neighbors who own and live on their lake property close by, and told them i was going to put bees on this property. All but one lady said they was glad that it would help there flower and vegetable gardens, The one lady laughed and said she had her humming bird feeder on her front porch and in the summer there are so many bees around it that she had to wait till dark to refill it. I told her to put two more on her porch that my bees would need the feed in late summer, her husband started laughing and she whipped around and said shut up you old fart. ;D. I soon found out that was the name he went by, everyone called him the old fart and on the side of his garage he had a sign that said, The old Farts Garage. All of the neighbors i talked to sounded like my kind of people.  Jack
PS. From what the old farts wife said, there must be feral hives around, none that i talked to knew of any beekeepers in the area.

Cool Jack! Feral bees = Free bees.... I see swarms in your future

Now Jack.... you had better go back to the house with the hummer food and ask politely to Not Put Red Dye In the Hummer Feeder!

Actually I'm serious  ;)
