Pictures from Georgia
« on: December 14, 2014, 04:22:42 pm »
With the temperatures up in the 60’s today in Georgia, I popped open the tops of my hives to do a quick check on things and to add some sugar cakes I made up for the girls to snack on.

Thought I’d share some pictures.

I've never seen that before, putting solid feed over #8 hardware cloth like that. It sure doesn't seem to slow them down taking it down though does it?
Nice pics!

Thanks Perry!  The thing I like most about this winter vent box is that I can be in and out quickly.  Since I'm not cracking open the hive, I can do a quick check without having to suit up or smoke them.
