Never heard of a dog having this condition.  I know several people that I think are idiopathic.  I'm sorry the condition spreads to canines.

It is sad, but it doesn't hurt the dog in any way, and it doesn't shorten their life span, so that's good. I've been noticing it for several months now. Katy's are mild at this point, it started when she would lay down, then I started seeing this slight tremor once in awhile, the up and down tremor nod. Now I'm seeing them every time she lays down, and I'm seeing them when she's standing, and she can kind of loose her balance and act like she might sit back and fall down. They only happen for a few seconds.

Just wondering, cause IHT can mimic epilepsy as well. Haven't looked up canine epilepsy yet....

I travel too much to have dog, but this thread is convincing me that the pain of owning a dog way out weighs the fun.  I do wish all of you well for assisting the animals.

Oh Lazy, all of my dogs have given me the greatest pleasure. A day doesn't go by that I don't get laughs or chuckles from my dogs. she loves to scoot her muzzle under my hand when we lay down for a nap, so comforting

I traded my last husband for a couple of dogs, and they don't pay the bills real well but they have NOT wrecked my truck, run up bills etc.  I Definitely got a  great deal, lol.

For some reason this thread came back up on my computer.  I still don't want a dog at this time, but some of my acquaintances have wives that would happily be traded for a dog.  My youngest son's first wife would be a prime example.  Like Gypsi's husband, she was good at running up the bills.  She was a lovely girl, brilliant in a scholarly way, but she did not have any common sense.  Most of my family was opposed to the marriage, but I thought it would be a workable one.  That's yet another thing that I was wrong about.

I'm still proud of all of you for rescuing and/or taking care of your pets.  I call myself an animal lover, but I eat them.  Is that conflicting?

In our family, we have both, we love our pets, and we hunt for meat. So that's not conflicting. I cannot ever imagine myself without a dog. And I can't ever imagine myself not eating chicken, my favorite meat  :)

A little off topic, but in the spirit of this:

I saw an old friend walking out of the liquor store the other day.
I stopped and asked what he had in the bag in his hand.
"I got a bottle of wine for my wife" he said.
"Good trade" I replied. ;D
