Old allis.

This is an old unstyled WC Allis on the side of a building in old town Wichita Kansas.  Got some hard to find parts on it.

that one is complete except for the removed axle housing wheel and hub from other side.  engine seat and everything else still there

Was the front wheel make of flat steel?  How do you guys know so much about antique tractors?  Do you spend any time in the present day?

I belong to Kansas and Oklahoma steam engine association.  I have several old molines that I drive around and tinker with,  The wheels on this one are original steel wheels that came out on the tractor

I'm not sure what to think about this. Cool art, but is it something that is salvageable?  If so it's a shame to have it up there.

There is some rare hard to find parts on this old tractor.  I know several old Allis guys who would like a crack at bidding on the parts if the place ever closes down or redecorates

Better up there for the world to see than melted down after a scrapper took it for junk money.
I and Kare have 22 Massey Harris tractors from a 1938 101 with a Chrysler 6 cylinder engine and escaped the retro fit of the brakes, to a 1957 555 Diesel. Also have a 1965 Ford 500 gas 8 speed, and a 1961 Allis D 17.
I hate to think of all the great old steam and gas engines that went to the scrap heap during WW II.
Some of those old Larusons and Bakers were as big as a 4 car garage.

On the farm as a kid we had a WC Allis (styled) with a mounted two row corn picker. Also had a couple WD's and a 45. A D14 didn't last to long just a couple months as it just couldn't cut the Alafia root.

Well I am on the other end of the spectrum, got one of the very last AC to roll off of the line.

It is a 6080 so the AC boys do not acknowledge it since it has a Fiat motor and tranny, but it still rolled off of the line at West Allis in December 1985.
