heh yeah...  and back then I could BOUNCE too!!    Fell off the top of the school slide.. one of the metal ones about twelve feet tall?  Hit the ground hard...   Took a bit to be able to breathe again, then I was back to sliding...  if I fell that far today...  Breaking something wouldnt even worry me, because I think a fall like that would KILL me.

Yes just 25 years ago, did quite a bit of bending in the last 3 days and I have been so sore I can hardly move, thinking of doing it more than one day would help out of not being sore, did no good so will rest the next couple of days than try it again.

Years ago i could run and do a sliding split across the linoleum kitchen floor, until one day i had an excruciating pain between my legs :o, A year or two ago i was talked into doing a summer sought by the grand kids 8), well after the flip i set there for what seemed like an hour with everything spinning and i thought i was floating in the air :o. i thought i had died and my spirit was ascending somewhere, 8). I think i'm safe saying non of you can no longer do the splits (nor i) but if your brave enough? try the simple summer sought. ;D Jack

This getting old thing ain't for sissys!

Also I've noticed:

There's a song entitled: "I'm not too old to cut the mustard, I'm just too tired to spread it around."

I see Lee Majors selling hearing aids on TV commercials now.

I hear The Allman Brothers Band playing on the Musak in the grocery store now.

They were playing Led Zeppelin on Cadillac commercials (I guess baby boomers were the target demographic of those commercials).

Bob Dylan has a new album coming out (He does Frank Sinatra music, and the bits and pieces of it sounds horrible, but that's another story) and he only allowed one interview to promote the album.  It was to AARP magazine.  Sheesh!

A couple years ago I log rolled down a small hill with my son, it seemed like a fun thing to do at the time. I was like Jack, when I got to the bottom it took a full 5 minutes before I could walk steadily. I think your recovery of sense of balance is lost with age.
