I bought some Russian queens from Kelly's when they first came out, like others said, they were hot. I also had trouble introducing them into my mutt hives,(they wood kill her?) i found if i started them in nucs and let them build up then use the newspaper introduction method, they would take. I wasn't impressed with there honey production either, my mutts out produced them 2 to 1 times better. The carni. breed has worked better for me in my area so i usually buy carni. queens, but they end up mutts i a short time. If a new type of queen comes up, i will give them a try if there reviews are good and not out of my price range. Jack

"Have to be a little careful on introducing queens to non Russian hive supposedly."

yes, and as jack said, they will kill her. either do as jack mentioned with a nuc or a slow release. put the cage in, leave the cork in or cap on to the candy the first day, next day, pull the cork/cap. let them alone.
