I filter 100's of pounds of wax for candle and cosmetics. Go online (i use ebay) and buy cheese cloth. I use the 60 micron (whatever is used for wine) and use two layers. Works like a charm. I pour it out my melter into 4 lb pouring pot with a square shaped double layered piece of cheese clothe held on with a rubber band. Afterwards, use the cheese cloth as a fire starter.....they burn 5-10 minutes to get your campfire going.
