We did a oxalic acid treatment today, when the treatment was over, I pulled out the rag that plugs the entrance for the treatment, and out walked two drones? Are there supposed to be drones this time of year? Whaaat?

yep that is normal. although the workers kick out the drones in the fall they usually will not evict them all.
