Nice surprise for me today!

I went into the Farmers Market today, and was setting up my table when Planter's Ridge Winery who have a table just down from me came over and presented me with a bottle of their new mead. It will hit the shelves soon in a limited release, but I have already been asked to provide twice the amount of honey for their next run. It is a delicious desert mead and will go for $18 for 500 mil (17 oz.).
These folks have an amazing winery and are top notch all the way!

yeah!  Thats awesome! More Awesome than Shania Twain waiting in the hotel room wearing nothing but a fur coat, with a note from my wife that says.. have a good time!

Looks like you've made the big time buddy. 8) I've had several winery's wanting to buy all my honey (5 gal. buckets) but after doing the math i can do alot better selling quarts and pints at the farmers market and from home. Yes, it's more work, but it keeps me out of trouble, (well most of the time) :laugh: Jack

I think they do sell online. Valley Nectar is not yet listed I don't think.
While it isn't a big money maker for me (Jack is pretty much bang on), the boost to the ego is immeasurable. Sometimes it is hard to believe that people place a value on what we do, heck a lot of the time we don't ourselves. But something like seeing your name on a label and the fact that John and Lisa actually thought enough to do so makes me realize that what we do can have value to others. Discover your passion and follow your heart and you'll usually do OK (I think). ;D

Wait and see Perry,  soon enough they'll be running a full line of differently flavored meads, made from your different varieties of honey---wildflowers, clover, blueberry----the sky's the limit.

Great market and a quick sale of a large wack of honey when the first of the new crop comes in. Will help in covering the bills and provide capital to buy jars for the first of the crop.
