The little things
« on: November 29, 2015, 05:44:36 pm »
I decided to finally get around to doing some of those little things that bug you but you never seem to get around to. I have some equipment (wax melter, 600 lb honey tank) that work fine but the darn little lights on them didn't all work (well, one of them did). Maybe I'm a bit fussy but I figure if there is a light on there it should probably work.
Well I was in the city the other day and swung by an electronic store and figured out which bulbs I needed (neon). The lights are a little bigger so I had to drill out the holes to accommodate the new barrels but it turned out nice. I have a friend who has a soldering gun and we put new bulbs in everything.
I'm starting to feel like a brooksbeefarm-of-all-trades! ;D
Now I have to get at the other 1,000 little things that bug me. :P

Well, if they're bigger they'll be easier to see. :)

You are one handy guy, Perry.  I bet your wife enjoys having you around to fix all the little things that can go wrong.

Uhhhhh, wish I could say so. We have now been here for 4 years and still no baseboards, window or door trim, still just one bathroom and an undeveloped basement. And here I am spending time on fixing bulbs on bee equipment that won't be used again until next year. :P
