Been awhile

Struggling with two divorces being finalized one was finished and reopened. Between the two and now have $250 a month to live off of so it's back to work. The good thing is that I've recovered sufficiently from my stroke that I actually kind of work. Not fully recovered still have left side weakness and fine motor skills in the left arm and hand are still lacking. The Queen I got for that hive when I split it off small hive beetles and ants got into it and I mean did so in what I thought was record time within a week the colony was virtually destroyed it was weak it was under populated I thought being with someone that would be an attribute as they wouldn't need so many bees for warmth they could focus on brood rearing and collecting pollen never thinking about ants. I did get a second queen that I successfully replaced the older Queen in the existing colony with. My Russian hybrid are turning very light colored. Believe it or not even though it's December the bees are still maintaining relatively large brood patterns. It really has been too warm like in the eighties the high 70's and I fear I might have to start feeding them. I did notice the pungent aroma of goldenrod honey which actually is good and short doses. Well that's the update. And really hasn't felt very much like conversing.

Glad to see you back. Was beginning to worry.

Hi Barry. I was away for only a week (vacationing in Jerusalem) but it was long enough to miss your return on time. Sorry about that---I would have liked to say "hello" sooner. The good news your bring about recovering from the stroke is really good. I hope that the fine motor skills get polished up soon, as you continue your recovery to completion.
Here's hoping you and your bees enjoy a nice season in Gainesville this coming year.
