I would like to see the rental lease or written contract from the government and agreed to by the ranchers. From what i've read other ranchers have payed there rent and most don't complain. We have protected natural prairie land in Mo.,but don't allow grazing,or hunting on it, and if you are caught setting or causing a fire, you will pay a big fine or go to jail. I read somewhere that one rancher burned off the rented government land to make better grazing for his cattle, i don't think that would be in the rental contract?? I've never dealt with the government where i didn't have to sign an a contract or agreement that didn't have the you can or cannot do. I know it's cattle country, but something doesn't smell like cattle here. ??? Jack

i don't know if the contract is on the BLM site. I got lost on it a couple of weeks ago, they are planning to spay mares, I think they are hoping the experiment is fatal to the mares, which it likely will be, to zero birth a wild herd to make the ranchers happy.  Anyway, I got lost on the BLM site and that is where I found the current grazing price. I will see if I can find it

The dead wild horses are why I haven't bought beef in 2 or 3 years.
Here is your link for their grazing terms: http://www.blm.gov/wo/st/en/prog/grazing.html

Ran across this on Facebook. I really hesitated to bring it here, but I thought it necessary to show the unintended consequences of drastic measures.

OH! WOW! A real non-biased, neutral article.  NOT

Although some of it is true, it is about the most one sided article I have ever read.

""Deborah Montesano
Deborah Montesano is a writer and political activist, who has just been freed from decades of wandering in the Arizona desert. She is now stunned to find herself actually living in progressive heaven — Portland, Oregon.""
