It really helps if our representatives actually read the law before passing it.

We had a similar instance here. The idiot animal control officer pushed an ordinance through aimed at snake owners. They outlawed non-native animals as pets. Then someone informed her she would have to get rid of her horses. She back paddled real quick and got it repealed.

naw it's not only in canada 40 acres, at my city res, bees are classified in the same ordinance as mice, don't even get me started....... :D

but i did find this rather funny.......

"The bigger issue is that the current wording of A-700 says it’s an offence to let an animal off the owner’s property unless it’s caged inside an escape-proof container or tethered to a harness.

Bees, in flagrant violation of the bylaw, tend to leave their owner’s property all the  time to forage for pollen or whatever.
