Planter's Ridge, the winery that has been using my honey to make their mead "Valley Nectar", will be introducing a new "Sparkling Mead" on June 19th, Fathers Day. I will be there under the big top (6 sided tent) with a display doing a couple of small 15 minute talks.

Press Release: For Immediate Release
New Product Launch and Inaugural Event (June 19th, 2016)
Planters Ridge Winery, close to two years old since its official opening, is releasing a
new sparkling product and launching an inaugural public event.
The newest product from Planters Ridge is a Sparkling Mead. Hinging on the
success of Planters Ridge Valley Nectar and the increasing popularity of mead as
people look to history for cues of a sustainable historic product, Sparkling Mead was
created to add an effervescent lift to a time-honoured traditional drink. Planters
Ridge Sparkling Mead will be bottled in unique 375ml bottles with a champagne
cork.
Bees & Vines is Planters Ridge’s inaugural celebration of both mead and wine. A
family friendly event, Bees & Vines will celebrate both the release of Sparkling Mead
and the new vintages of Planters Ridge wine. The event, held on Father’s Day June
19th from 12-4pm, will feature children’s activities, musical entertainment, honey
education seminars, tastings, food from three vendors, spirits, Planters Ridge branded
glasses, games, and more!
Planters Ridge Sparkling Mead
Our first effervescent product is none other than an elegant sparkling mead made
from wild clover honey sourced from Brandt’s Bees in Wolfville, NS. With a round
honey fragrance and bright stone fruit on the palate, this refreshing medium-sweet
honey wine finishes long and smooth.
I visited today to see how it was going and got to sneak in with the owner John. They had to buy a new tank to make the new Sparking Mead as it has to be done under pressure and glycol cooled. Some tank! Can't imagine what that cost!
