Catalogs!!
« on: January 11, 2014, 09:55:08 pm »
Has anyone gotten a 2014 catalog from ANY supply company yet?
I ordered new catalogs from 4 places and they are all the same ones I had from 2013.. Mann Lake has their new one out, I have seen it and looked at it, but they sent the Summer 2013 Catalog???  Just received my Kelly and Dadant yesterday, both the same I got last year about this time...   Yes, I'm annoyed.

I got the new Mann Lake a week or two ago, haven't seen any others, but then I only get a couple each year. Probably ought to spread my few purchases around a little better. I do try to buy locally as much as possible.

Most the equipment suppliers have online websites and online catalogs. Go to a state beekeeping convention and most of the suppliers will be their and have catalogs on hand for those that didn't do the internet.

The Catalog is what You take to the bathroom, or on the airplane, or in the car to keep you sane when your wife insists on driving, etc etc...    I was wondering if any of you had the NEW catalogs yet, because I intend to call them instead of sending an EMail to express my displeasure at receiving the old ones.

Just ask them if they are honouring those prices in the "new" catalog you just received? (and give them the date of it when you do).  ;)

When Lady B settles down to watch "One born every minute",  I bury my head in a Thorne's catalogue. (Sad isn't it")  I won't be buying but browsing for all the interesting additional information. The 2014 edition won't be out till March but they do say "worldwide sales"

Thorne's on line catalog is one of my favourites, and english feeder would be my first choice among all feeders I ever saw.
Compatible with langs and 1 1/2 gallon volume... Too bad nobody's offering them on this side of the pond.

Three cheers for tablets and smartphones that can help you with this problem when the catalogue is a digital version.  8)
Just make sure to keep them dry.

Yeah, I may order some candle molds by the end of March, and ask for catalog too.
Thanks Barbarian

I haven't received any yet either.  I rely on the online version but I know what you mean about carrying a catalog around to have something to look at when your in a boring situation.  I quit the smart phone thing so I can't pull the sites up anymore.
