I usually see a bunch of these things anytime I look under the hive.

Can someone identify that these little bits are?

I took these pictures from a sticky board with 1" squares.

Looks like wax moth poop.
Bees are bees and do as they please!

I hope that's not it. There's always a ton of it under the hives. But I've not spotted any signs of wax moths in the hives.

I'd like to have another option.  I agree it looks like Wax Moth Poop, but I can't find any wax moths in my hives.

I just spent the afternoon looking through everything except the bottom brood chamber of my hives.  Now it is possible all of the wax moth larvae are hiding in there, but that's where the biggest concentration of bees is.  The hives are pretty healthy.  For the amount of droppings I see, I would expect there to be moths and larvae all over the hives.

So, does anyone else have an opinion?  Or am I just Wax Moth blind?

Thanks,

WM
