I hate to bring this up but have you allowed for a bee space between and on the end of the frames of at least 1/4 inch 3/8 of an inch is even better. the bees need this space for travel and air circulation. If not there are some things that can be done to fix this.
Over all looking good.

Time for another update.   Making some good progress and I'm determined to get it done before spring.  Thank you to everyone for their interest and patience.

Apis,  yes there is proper bee space around the frames,  the angle of the pictures make it look deceiving.

I know it has been a while, but my project is finally completed. ;D   We are having a ribbon cutting at the next bee group meeting at the library and a dedication of the project to a scout leader who passed away earlier this year.  Thank you to everyone for all the support along the way.   I'm still working on following up with thank you letters.   I met yesterday with a reporter from the local paper who is doing an article on it.  Hopefully I will have better photos to share shortly.

Congratulations on getting it done and having it occupied by bees.It looks good and distinctive. The monitor program video, do you have a copy of it on youtube or a link to it on face book. If you do can you post a link for us that will never get to press the green button and see\hear it in person. Thanks.

Hi Apis,

The kiosk is not a video,  it is actually a photo album program that it running and the presentation slides were turned into JPG.  I'll try to add them here if I can.

So we had the ribbon cutting and dedication at the library on Monday night and the newspaper was there and did an article.

Saw his observation hive at our meeting last week.  The pics don't do it justice.  Hope they decide to award him his Eagle Scout!

As the step dad of two eagle scouts it does my heart good to see young folks like this. The future of this world is in good hands with youth like this young man.
