Extractor Questions
«

I am getting ready to restore an extractor that I got from Perry months ago. I think I tracked down a source for a new drum, the one I have is 28 gallon (if it was the original) but I have a few other questions,
1) Does anyone know if these colors are correct (please see pics)
2)If I sand blast the cages what is the best paint to paint them with. I know there is a product called cam cote, which is a clear epoxy, but I am hoping to retain the true colors.
3)I would like to replace the bearing, does anyone know where I could find a parts list (If one would exist)
Any other iformation would be greatly appreciated

The colours are right. Good score on the tub if you found one. Not too sure if you need to sandblast the cages, maybe plastic or soda blast. If they are stainless I'm not sure you need to. I don't think we can get cam cote up here in Canada but we have our own version of the same thing.

I don't think they are stainless because there is some rust on them. I was thinking maybe a food grade epoxy paint. Do you have a name for the Canadian version of the Cam Coat. Thanks

take the bearings to an automotive parts house or industrial supply company they can measure OD and ID and match a bearing for you. Make sure you get a sealed bearing
