2 deep supers and a telescoping hive cover. Nail on cleats to keep the 2 supers aligned.
Working height to put the frames in and turning the handle. The extractor is 35" a 5 gallon pail is 16" so the top of the extractor will be 50 " off the floor the frames are 19" in length so each frame need to be lifted to close to 6' to load\unload and spin to extract the other side of the frame.
In commercial operations the radial extractor were placed on the floor with the honey sump\clarify tank placed in a pit with the honey pumped out of the sump. Reducing the high lifting will lesson arm strain.
This extractor has an extra 6" in drum height For the honey to collect before needing to be run off. 6" of honey will add about 50 lbs of weight added to the extractor weight you are looking at close to 75lbs if you decide to extract with the extractor sitting on the floor and lifting it to run off the honey.

I got an electric speed king made by pierce mfg., it has a date of 7-83 on the handle and 6-83 on the blade. I got it used also, about 25 to 30 years ago.

Not sure of the quality of the ones on ebay for 20 bucks, these new run about $100 now days. Kelley's sells them. I got one in a bunch of bee junk a couple of years ago and sold it for $70 if I remember right.

Just wondering, how did that extractor work out for you?
