I just got to read this thread after it was all over.  Nevertheless, following it has greatly saddened me.
I plan to make a donation to charity in Abigail's memory.  May it be  for the merit of her young soul.

Green bee:

I haven't been reading the forum beyond chat for a bit and didn't know of this tragic event until this morning.  This is one of those times where my words just won't express my meaning.  But,

The loss of a child is the worst thing that can happen to parents.  The loss of an 18-year young adult is a loss to all of us.  We will all suffer the input of her life into our whole.  It is such a shame, and it is still a mystery of why some are called home so young.  It reminds me of the Jean Gilbert quote, "The ways of Heaven are a mystery to me."

I will pray for the family, friends of family and for you Green bee.  As did Ef, my family will make a gift to charity in Abby's name.  God bless all of you in this trying time.

thank you marty for the great picture.......

what jen said........
"Never brought me down Marty... Thank you for letting us into your circle when you needed help ~hugs~"

...........

i am a former fire investigator, fires are incredible tragedies as les said.....i have seen one too many, and many that still haunt me.  jack (brooksbeefarm) was also a firefighter. i am certain he has seen the same if not more than myself.  i never found a 'good way' to express my thoughts to a grieving family. just know that we are here for you, and all of us have the family in our thoughts, prayers, hearts and mind.

if i might ask, i would be willing to send a card to the family on behalf of the forum to offer our condolences to them?  with all the names of those who would like to be included on the card.

let me know, it was just a thought.  i feel great sadness for her family.

This was on the local news, they lived on cub dr in Thomasville nc , I'll get the street number. Abby was hearing impaired so the family was asking donations go to Beginnings 156 wind chime Ct ste. A Raleigh, nc 27615 or www.ncbegin.org in Abigail Blair's name.  Mother is Suzanne Blair , father Brandon Blair and little brother Charlie Blair.
I seen the family over the weekend and as you might imagine they are devastated. The local community has been outstanding. And we have raised over $8,000.00 on go fund me. thank you for all your prayers

So sorry to hear of the family's loss. Sending a request to the great spirit top look over them  and the soul that passed.

Now I will say some thing some may not like, If she was burnt that badly maybe the best thing was her passing as healing from major burns is a long painful endover, most times leaving one disfigured and needing to endure many years after.

Have a Viet Nam Vet friend who only suffered 40% burns on his body. He has told me several times he wished he would have not been spared to endure so much pain even after over 40 years.
