Birdfeeder bees
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:05:52 am »
Why are my bees visiting the neighours birdfeeders These open birdfeeders are mostly filled with corn & sunflower seeds. The bees are very active and seem to dive nose first into the feed.

Yesterday I witnessed  bees ladened with pollen entering the hives. I wondered about the source at this time of year. If they were to collect enough sawdust, maybe they would start building there own woodenware :D
