Re-establishing a swarm

This morning I witnessed the swarming of one of my hive. This being my first full season as a beekeeper, this was a first for me. It's quite a spectacle. I actually heard the swarm prior to seeing it.

I was successful in capturing this swarm and now have it in a swarm box. Plans are to start a new colony. Question is: can I start this new colony in the same bee yard it swarmed from?

Yes, I had three last week that I captured and set-up in new deeps, if you have any drawn out frames that will help. I  had lost a hive so have been using it to start the new swarms adding a couple of frames to each new hive.

You can set the swarm anywhere you want on the day of the swarm, they will reorient.

If you add a frame of brood spritz with lite syrup and a drop of vanilla if you don't have any honey bee healthy type product and the swarm will stay in the box. :yes: ;D
