He spoke, about the program, at the state beekeeping meeting this weekend. He also brought beekeeping products to sell. Some of the beekeeping products are made in a wood shop by veterans. Some were from Dadant. I was so impressed with the telescoping lids. I think they would survive a hurricane! I bought one and wished I could have afforded 10! They are well designed and put together well. I also bought a solar wax melter (I gave up on my home made version) that the veterans had made.
The program is designed to be educational, therapeutic, and possibly lead to opportunities for veteran's to become established farmers.
