We had a surprise when we woke up this morning!
Snow for the first time since 2004:
I'd not had to deal with snow on beehives before, so I was left wondering if I should clear the entrance to the hives. I decided to leave it for insulation purposes.
The first picture was taken at 7:14 this morning.
By 10:30, I knew that there was no need to worry about the hive entrances:
I place the blame for all of this white stuff squarely on Riverbee's shoulders. She started her snow dance after I bragged about our warm temperatures.
As a warning to all Worldwide Beekeeping forum members, don't cross Riverbee!
