I'd love to hear him do a presentation or speech.  I understand his stipend to speak is a little higher than most.  He, no doubt, is worth it.  I got an opportunity to speak with him personally in October.  He was at the WicWas tent at the Mother Earth News Fair and a beekeeper I know introduced me to him.  Very nice guy.

I may be interested in going if I can get out of the office at a decent hour.  Do you have to sign up, or just show up?

Where is he speaking don't see it posted on in the calendar yet. Had the privilege to hear him give 2 talks at the Provincial Beekeepers Convention. I video recorded them. He spoke on Beekeeping by the Numbers, and Five Hundred Dollars per Hive per Year.
What is He speaking on Iddee? River Bee you are only 1100 miles away and besides meeting Iddee you would also get to meet ablanton, Bakersdozen, Zulu, and others by the sounds of it.

Dr Conners ACTIVE knowledge of bbee stuff goes way back < I sometimes like to quizz him on details of some of these experiences.  He also does an excellent job in front of an audience.... small or large.  I have seem him do his thing at a number of meeting and yes his asking price for doing one of these is not the least bit cheap.  I think he played a major role in getting the ABF to add a sideline/hobbyist content to their yearly convention < and I must say here either one of the most lucky or smart decisions the ABF has made in decades.

he does have the personality and humor of a yankee so don't play the 'good olde boy' thingee up too much... bad jokes or pokes at minority group I suspect will not earn you any points with Dr Connors.

he seems to always like to make a joke about bee keepers and their smelley old trucks.

We have been fortunate to hear Larry speak on numerous occasions.
He lives in my town and is the founding father of the local bee club here in Kalamazoo.
He publishes in both the bee magazines and has a whole series on beekeeping.
If you can't make it to the presentation you can always grab a few of his books.
