Checking in
« on: June 26, 2018, 09:23:01 pm »
Hello, folks. Finally got a minute to check in. Looks like everyone’s doing ok.
Things are going pretty good down here, I’m on the best honey flow I’ve ever seen. I’m buying, borrowing and building boxes just trying to keep up. Never seen anything like it.
Anyway, hope you folks are having as good a year as I have so far. I needed a good one after last year.

Great report. RC.  I wish I could say the same for the situation here.  Our winter was pretty dry (5th year running of drought conditions), the spring season was hot and now we are suffering from multiple fires (arson) that has destroyed both hives and forage areas  the bees.  The last rain in my area fell in April and the next rain isn't expected before September, at the earliest.

No, no.  I'm not that close to the flaming Gaza border.  My (7) hives are all okay.  But not too far away, starting about 20 km to the south, the damages have been very heavy for some beekeepers.
