Apiguard 2nd dose-how critical?

since I treated so late & the queens are slowing down would treating with O.A. several times do as well as the 2nd dose of Apiguard??

Yes.   OAV kills 90-95% of phoretic mites (thymol treatments kill at a lower percentage).  However, alternating treatments is sound practice in my view.  :)

Yes! Last fall I didn't get all of my 3 treatments done in time before the weather got too cold. So what I did was, I kept checking my sticky boards in my main hives all winter long, about every 4 weeks. If I saw even one mite, all my hives and nucs got one good treatment. By spring, my bees were clean as a whistle. They were happy and healthy and ready for the flow.
