The oldest I've seen was 3 yrs.  ago in Charleston SC called the Angel Oak 400 -500 yrs.

Very few if any old growth cypress left in my home state of Louisiana. It's a very popular wood. Many of the old homes built 60-70 years ago or earlier were built with cypress. :)

I called you and Iddee's attention to this because you guys are the only North Carolinians on this site my aged mind could recall at the time.  :)

Thanks. Some suppliers are making hives with cypress now, but it is new growth. Doesn't last like old growth.
