Last years uncapped honey or nectar

I have a couple of frames of nectar that didn't get capped last year, could it be fermented and unedible?

Did you smell it or taste it?  If it's not capped it could ferment.
A couple of years ago I had 2 supers that I didn't get extracted.  The bees had capped the frames and all looked great.  I stored them in the garage.  When I did get time to extract those frames the  honey tasted off, almost metallic.  I fed that back to the bees with no problems.

Thanks Baker, that's what I thought as well. I've had some hives the last couple of years that are very lazy about getting the nectar capped.
