Well, today I stumbled into an antique store full of cool old stoves. Several were hooked up and burning.

Tightening up around the stove. I was in Kansas last week and picked up some stuff at some junk shops I found. I’m gonna run these items a few weeks and see how we like them.

Got rid of the fire poker/tools stand and hung an acorn/pine cone rack behind the stove.

Probably gonna ditch the large cast kettle with this new smaller stove and go with the copper kettle.

Picked up a couple antique trivets.

The other option was I nabbed an orange enamel cast iron “bean pot” that I thought might make a good steamer. It will probably find its way into the kitchen or camp kitchen stuff.

Last is a blue enamel coffee pot.

I may keep the enamel pot, and something else as my sand buckets for smothering an over fire. I want 2-3 containers on the shelf with sand and/or baking soda that I can dump in the stove if needed. I have a couple old coffee tins I may bring in for that.

Seems I’ve settled in with an old smudge pot as a steamer for a while now. It fits well and lasts all day at 1qt capacity.

I just noticed this thread and it is great. That store full of old stoves was incredible. My bride would have to have one of the cookstoves. :)
