Queen Rearing Calendar
« on: January 23, 2014, 09:31:26 pm »
a couple of queen rearing calendars:

this one, just change the date of when you are going to graft, click 'generate calendar' and it generates a calendar in a separate window for you:

The Beeyard Queen Rearing Calendar

this one is from the ohio state beekeeper's association and is an excel spreadsheet, enter a grafting date and the calculator will determine when the cells should be placed in nucs, queens will emerge, etc. click on the link to bring you to their page, then click on 'Queen Rearing Calendar', save the excel spreadsheet to your pc, and all you need to do is change the grafting date in the top right hand corner of the spreadsheet:

Queen Rearing Calendar Generator

on the ohio website just above the calendar generator, there is also a pdf file available for download on rearing queens, from ohio's website: "This guide was written by Dana Stahlman, formerly a commercial queen raiser." also here:

The bee club web site is fabulous!  I don't know why haven't clicked on this thread before, but I am glad I did now!  Queen calendar, DIY mouse guards, free reading material, how to make candy boards...
Thanks riverbee!

I used the bee yard calendar this year and for my first year grafting my own queens it really helped.

Nice one RB a lot less messing around than using the excel one if your not familiar with excel. Thanks
