10% honey?

my daughter was by today & i gave her my refractometer. she checked her honey when she got home & said she had some honey that was drained from the cappings that read 10%. is that even possible with liquid honey. over the years the lowest reading that i ever had was 16%.

Was it calibrated properly?  I've definitely never seen honey that low, but in my humidity, I doubt I'll ever see 16%.  :-\

i told her that 10% was unlikely. she retested & came up with 18%. she just needs to learn how to read the scale. she & her husband have vision issues.

I would think 10% would be so thick that it would hardly pour.  18% is acceptable!   :thumbsup:
