NCAA final four
« on: March 30, 2014, 10:02:29 pm »
My Kentucky Wildcats just made the final four in the NCAA tournament.  They have just about taken me out all season.  They have came together as a team the past month or so.  About to take me out with all the rituals I have to follow to watch them..
Same clothes each game,  I have overalls and a hooded sweatshirt that can stand in the corner alone by now.        Same mismatched types of beer that has to be drunk during the game.     Same ritual of building a fire in the friends basement stove two hours before the game.        Same amount of water in the pot on the stove at the beginning.      Same thing for lunch etc.    I know it doesn't have an effect on the game but I am not going to be the reason they lose

Does any one else have any rituals they follow, or am I just nuts?

:D I don't really have any rituals other than going to all the games and supporting them (Acadia Axemen Hockey).
The players and coach sure have rituals though. Our best stay at home defenceman absolutely refuses to leave the ice until he is the last player to do so. I often wonder if some one was to try and mess with him what would happen (he's 6'4" and built like a brick outhouse). On the ice he stands a head taller than most other players. This was his last year of University hockey, he's graduated. Our goalie is done this year as well, he was #1 in the league.
Next year may be a tough year to follow.  ;D
The coach is a 13 year coach who is not the type to cross with. I leaned over the bench to say hi one evening between periods. He was kind enough to say hi and we shook hands and all, but I clearly got the impression that once he's behind the bench he's in his zone and don't mess with him.  :-[  :D

Came in from turkey hunting with my youngest, cold and quiet out there this morning.  Gotta make a run into town and assemble the various beer supply.  I had taken the tarps off the wood pile before the flood.  Now I have to find two dry pieces.  Little brother texted me, Go Badgers!!!, GRR!  He has them and UCONN left in the drawing at work.  The bosses girlfriend has UK and Fla.  He tried to cut a deal on Thursday, he figured if she did lose maybe she could blame herself  ;)

Minz, it should be a good game, this bunch has been a project this year,  that having been said,  C-A-T-S Cats Cats Cats,  GOOOO Cats!!!

Not much of a basketball fan but grew up there in Milwaukee so got to go for the badgers.  That and they managed to take out the Oregon team.

Either way it's over tomorrow night.  I've done all I can do for them, I hope they appreciate it ;D  The last four games have been won with a last second shot.  The past three by the same player in the same place.  I going to call them the Cardiac Cats.  Starting to get too warm for a fire in the basement :D
