bee suit / jacket sizing
« on: April 17, 2014, 10:43:47 pm »
My wife has relented and is letting me get a new jacket/veil combo, as the one I was given doesn't quite fit right  My question is on the sizing - in your experience, should I order based on my chest size (per the charts listed on most supply places) or order it a bit larger, so it is loose?

Thanks in advance.

Even a little bit tight will get you stung when dealing with mean bees, so consider bending over to pick up a tele cover off the ground, bending your elbows etc...   You dont want a bee suit to "fit" unless you plan on posing in one with yoga pants?

trust me - me in yoga pants would NEVER be a good idea even if covered by a full suit! :o :o :o

Whenever guests come to my bee yard and I provide makeshift protection, it seems that bigger is better, especially in the waist.  ;)

I ordered a bee suit last year. When using their size chart it put me at a youth. I'm broad in the shoulders and mostly wear 2Xl to Xl.  I went with my gut feeling on it and was close. Still had to return to get a larger size.   Go with your gut feelings
