as far the download of the file, operator error perhaps?   you have two options, either download/save to your pc the attachment, or open the link below it in your browser. you must have a pdf reader installed like adobe or fox-it reader.  both links are working, so am not sure why you couldn't open or save the file?

I purchased a copy of the book.  It's great.  I keep it in my tool bucket so I have it when I go check the hives.

Dandy book to take to the hives, plenty of good clear pics for comparing and good details of what to look for.

We use that Penn State Field Guide in our local bee class.  Each person gets a copy.  The quality of the pictures is excellent.  The descriptions include information I have not found any other place.  For a beginner, a guide like this can  be a life saver.
