Iddee, your guess was right. They are in the wall just above and slightly to the right of the entrance. I could hear them buzzing from the inside bedroom. The young man that lives there was not comfortable at this point with removing the drywall. I told him to think about it and give me a call. He is sure he doesn't want a trap out or the exterior torn off. I made sure he knew the consequences of spraying the bees. Which, he doesn't seemed inclined to do. The temp reading rose on the inside of the house and as you can see on the video below, rose outside considerably. The outside temperature was unseasonably chilly at 48 degrees and misting. The bees were very angry with my messing around their entrance.
So, I went home and made the best of my day by building, priming and applying the first coat of paint on some bottom boards and telescoping lids. This will allow me to expand to 17 full sized colonies if needed. I am currently at 9 Langs and 2 TBH.
