New bees
« on: May 17, 2014, 05:06:46 pm »
I re-queened one of my hives early last month.  All bees we've had so far pretty much all look the same.  This is what the new queen is producing.  Pretty caramel color.  I've never seen ones like this. The one on the lid is like all the others.

Nice pic.
I don't see that many really light coloured bees up here.

Interesting color.  Mine are all classic black and yellow with some having solid black bottoms.

Everything we've had has been as Blueblood described.  First few we saw kind of scared us.  Wasn't sure what to think.  After doing an inspection we noticed that they were the new brood.  Saw one coming out of a cell.  They are unique.

I think you may be right.  Looked at the queens and workers in the two pictures here and they sure look like it.  Thanks
