Although I have seen the full size wall in Washington, D.C., my children have not.
We are fortunate enough to have The Moving Wall, a 1/2-size replica, in the next town over for the weekend. My girlfriend and I brought my younger two boys went to see it tonight. It's amazing. Although we joke around a lot, and they even bring it too far now and then... They understood the power of the wall. We walked through, spoke to one of the volunteers, learned a bit, visited the P.O.W./M.I.A. table they had on site, and left. It was a very solemn experience.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Moving Wall, you can learn about it here:
http://themovingwall.org/I said it earlier in this thread, but I will say it again... For those of you who serve or have served, have had family or loved ones serve, or known someone who has served... I thank you.
**On a side note... I was just looking at TheMovingWall.org and clicked on the calendar page. Not too sure what's going on, but the wall is currently in Winchendon, MA until 6/8... The calendar says it's in Malden.
