Dad Gum it!

Paid $300 for it. Started it several times since I bought it!
Do you think I could get it to go today when I actually needed it!  :x
Lousy thing. Fuel in the tank, fuel in the bowl, dry plug. A few drops in the hole, put the plug back in, she sputters and dies.
The primer button wants to stay in after I push on it. Just not sure what's going on.
My son and I shoveled the driveway!  :roll:

No, I would have been happy to though, it would have meant it was running. I had to push to move it so I could shovel.

Ah dang, sorry Perry! Maybe something plugging the intake port under the primer bulb?

Push it in the garage, warm it up, pour a couple ounces rubbing alcohol in it and start it. Take it back outside and run it until it runs out. Put new gas in it. It has a few drops of water "condensation" in it from sitting all summer and froze in the line.

It's hard to get in there to find out. I would have to take a cover off and all. I'm hoping something is just frozen and will thaw out. I was using the electric start after the first few tugs didn't get it going.  I didn't want to strain myself pulling on it. Now my shoulders are sore from all the shoveling.  :lol:

Rubbing alcohol=1.00 for a pint.

Gas de-icer= rubbing alcohol under different name=10.00 for a pint.

Your choice.

I think I have the same model Perry. You didnt absentmindedly shut the fuel shut off valve on the tank did you? I am starting to play those cute tricks on myself. :D  The primer line is teed off the main line into the carb. Yes you have to pull a bunch of stuff to get at things. I replaced the fuel line this summer and got rid of the primer. The fuel we have now with the alcohol in it is much harder on rubber lines and more prone to varnish up. It does sound like frozen line. If you do go for the drug store alcohol make sure you get the 95% Isopropyl not the 70% stuff that is also available (you dont need any more water!) The intake preheater prevents dribbling a bit of fuel in while cranking.

A mist of ether in the intake helps cold starts when it isn't clogged with ice. Be sure the engine is turning over when you spray it.

The spraying with holy water can be tricky though, Iddee if it is indeed the same as the one I have: They hide the intake really well inside the cover so it doesnt suck in blown snow. It wraps around the exhaust manifold for carb heat. I dont even try to rope start mine if I cant get a power cord to the electric starter.

Ask the wife to hold the snow shovel. When she takes it run for the house and lock the door.  :D  Works great It will be fine I do this all the time. But then again we dont get much snow ;)

   It is a pain.. I had one similar, but it WILL work as Iddee says if sprayed in the correct general area..   I got agrivated trying to cold start it... so NOW, the motor runs a dead mans mower.. plug it in it starts every time when the temps are nice...

   Edit;   OH!!!   DONT, listen to MM!!!   I tried it tonight,, need to fix the door after she kicked it in.. got to buy a new shovel as well..  both projects have to wait ill i get the stitches out..

Two items to use regularly with small engines:
Stabil, get the marine grade "the green stuff" it controls moisture problems better.

Sea Foam  
A good preventative measure to occasionally run through the system. I have had success with this product de varnishing small engine carbs before. I always run it through the mowers,tillers and weedeaters before winter storage. Easy starts every spring.

I never put the corn gas in a 2 cycle engine. I pay .40 more per gallon for pure gas. It will save your engine.

what iddee said about the fuel, pay the extra for the premium.  we don't use stabil and seafoam is a good product.  worked great for a chainsaw where SOMEONE put oil in the gas side, and gas in the oil side. :lol:

I did fill up the tank with premium right after I bought it so it isn't "old" gas. I still haven't got it back yet either! :x

Get a can of starting fluid. Also search for non-ethanol gas to use.
