My new label

I needed to make up a label so that I could sell my honey at the farmer's market.  I decided that I wanted to pay homage to a label design that my family used in the early 1900s.  Here's what I came up with:
the old cough medicine label front and back





and my new honey label




Thoughts?  How did I do?

I like it! You're right, it follows along the lines of the old labels.

I Like It! Good font, easy and clear to read. Can't help but think tho that a little bee somewhere on that label would be nice ~ just a thought

Papakeith, what software did you use to make your label? It looks great.
I've been trying to come up with one and I also wanted it to be a vintage looking label, but I have zero creativity. I'm missing whichever side of the brain that's the creative side.

I use paint shop pro.  It used to be by Jasc, but Correl owns it now.  Much cheaper than photo shop and for my needs it does well enough.

I do like your label.  That would look really good on those retro muth jars.  I used those last year for the first time.  People really like them.  I told anyone that returned them empty, I would give them $1.00 back.  I've only had one returned.

Riverbee,  I had forgotten that I had pointed you to PSP.  for the money it really can't be beat.

I ended up narrowing the label to get rid of the dead space on either side of the text.  It now fits a bit better on the jars too.

As for printing. I haven't gotten that far yet.  My label isn't a standard size (although I could make it that way).  right now for the amount I have to sell I may just print up a couple of sheets and use a glue stick to put them on the jars.  This way also allows me to modify the design some more if I want before committing to a large order.
